The process

Once the casting session is under way, the initial moulding is very quick where we use a medical grade alginate in order to capture the finest details of your skin, this takes around 10 minutes, however the initial mould requires supporting where we use a plaster of Paris impregnated bandage with added reinforcement where required. This outer case does need approx 40 minutes to go off before the mould can be removed. The whole process will take up to two hours to complete from beginning to end.
After which we will cast the final sculpture which because of its nature will have minor defects and require many hours of patient hand finishing. This will then be left to dry for between two to three weeks.

This is not just a moulding of your body but a creation made by a partnership of artist and the client desiring the sculpture, resulting in something totally unique. Your completed sculpture will then be ready for collection in approximately four weeks.
